Bring your questions and scout spirit. We will be having a roundtable style seminar on the various topics of advancement within the Packs, Troops, and Crews.

Topics include: Proper uniforming, the new Scout Handbook, The Eagle Application, Troop Boards of Review, Scoutmaster Conferences, The Eagle Board of review, Record keeping, Awards, Merit Badges to name a few.

Who should attend? Unit Leaders, Unit Committee Members, Unit Advancement Chairpersons... YOU!

Pow Wow 2012 Cub Scout Pow Wow

We began working on the 2012 Pow Wow even before the 2011 Pow Wow ended, in order to make it the best Pow Wow ever! We hope we have the biggest turn out yet for this tri-council event, but we need your help. Please spread the word, the scouting program is only as good as its trained leaders and parents, so let's get everyone to this important training.

We have set up a to help us better spread the word, please log-in and "like" the fan page.

And soon we will be opening the online registration, with discounts for those who register early. Mark the date 2/4/2012 for the best Pow Wow ever!!!!

Monthly Roundtable

The Roundtable (both Boy Scout and Cub Scout) is held the Second Thursday of each month at:

Roundtable provides a forum for adult leaders in the Scouting program to:

  • Discuss topics of interest, both formally and informally
  • Learn about upcoming District and Council events and programs
  • Meet and exchanges ideas with other leaders from the District

Online Training

The Boy Scouts of America has a new Online Learning Center. This new learning center will become the gateway to all of the BSA's online training resources. Registered members of the BSA may provide their member numbers (as part of the user profile) to receive credit for completing these online courses online. Any registered member of the BSA may create a user account and view the courses. These courses are designed to help members develop skills crucial to fulfilling their leadership roles in Scouting.

The following courses may be accessed at the Online Learning Center:

  • Fast Start Training
    • Cub Scout
    • Boy Scout Leader
    • Venturing Advisor Scout
  • Youth Protection Training
  • Aquatics Training
    • Safe Swim Defense
    • Safety Afloat
  • Den Chief

Effective June 1, 2010:

  • Youth Protection Training is required for all registered volunteers.
  • New leaders are required to take Youth Protection Training before they submit their application for registration. The certificate of completion for this training must be submitted at the time application is made and before volunteer service with youth begins.
  • Youth Protection Training must be taken every two years. If a volunteer's Youth Protection Training record is not current at the time of recharter, the volunteer will not be reregistered
